This clever mom used this method to transform a badly stained pillow case and make it look like new again.

“Someone recently posted how they boiled their washcloths in a pot of water with bicarb for 15 minutes and got great results,” she wrote.
Inspirational, I tried this with a pretty gross pillowcase…and added some professional (washing) soda, too.
Then I machine washed my usual linen load with powder and Napisan/Vanish Oxy, (then) line dried. I am really happy with the results.”
The mum shared three photos, including a disgusting brown pillowcase and how dirty the water was during the cleaning process.
She then added, “I want people to know that this cover has been machine washed multiple times with detergent and Napisan on our regular 40-degree washer.”

Hundreds thanked the mom for sharing her recommendation and were eager to try it for themselves.

“Hotel and hospital sheets and towels are boiled, that’s why they’re so white!” said another.
One woman said she uses this delicate cleaning method to “strip and sanitize” clothes and bed linen.
