How to export video from a HomeKit Secure Camera

HomeKit Secure Video allows users to use cameras with built-in software from Apple to securely talk to a HomeKit hub, and to transfer video to iCloud storage. This video is protected by strong encryption using keys stored on your devices: it can’t be decrypted by Apple or other parties, only viewed from one of your devices.
iCloud+ can store unlimited clips from the last 10 days. After The video will be permanently deleted. While you can’t download an archive of a day or a rolling 10 days, you can export clips that you can save in your Photos library or share with others.
This process relies on very small cues and is not well designed. Here’s how to export video:
- You can export the clip by using the Home app on iOS, iPadOS or macOS (10.15.1 Catalina and later).
- Click or tap the Share icon. (To see the Share symbol, you might need to tap on an iPhone or iPad, or hover over the Home icon in macOS.
- A small icon is located in the upper-right corner on the Home app. Next The button appears. It’s particularly tiny on a Mac’s display. Click or tap it.
- Choose a destination like Save Video (iOS/iPadOS). Save to Photos (macOS). You can also send to Notes, Messages, and other apps.
- Click, tap or click to select additional clips Next To save them.
- Tap or click Cancel To finish.
