According to experts, incorporating three-minute workouts into your day could be the key to toning your physique and improving your well-being.
Nutritional therapist Natalie Fader, from Canada, explained how “exercise snacks” – a quick routine of three to five exercises performed for a few minutes – can provide a range of health benefits.
Ms Fader has tried the latest fitness trend herself, saying her body shape is already changing and she is able to hold a plank for three minutes instead of 30 seconds.
“For all my ‘I don’t have time to exercise,’ people listen! It turns out that if we do these short, random workouts throughout our day, it pays off big time,” Ms. Fader wrote on Instagram.
“You build muscles that have huge benefits like improved sleep, hormonal regulation, improved mood/mindset, etc.”

Nutritional therapist Natalie Fader, from Canada, said “exercise snacks” can provide health benefits. The healthy trend involves performing three to five exercises for a few minutes several times throughout the day.
“I tested this theory exactly a month ago. Between my sessions with my clients, I had three to five “exercise snacks,” Ms. Fader added.
Throughout the workday, she alternated between planks, wall sits, squats, leg lifts and abdominal exercises to reap the health benefits.
‘I did just one exercise for the entire song, then continued with my day until I could fit in my next exercise snack. Some days I did all five, other days I only did a few,” she continued.
‘The reward? My body shape is changing, my clothes are starting to look different, and my plank time is increasing!
“A few years ago, I was doing four to five minute planks. I stopped training like I used to about a year ago and noticed I could only hit 30 seconds. I hit the three minute mark today.
The movements performed are decent bodyweight exercises that activate the core muscle groups.

“Why haven’t I ever thought of this before?” » asked a third.
Although others scoffed at this phrase and preferred to eat snacks while exercising.
“When do I get a snack?” one joked, another said, “I’m mad at you for saying ‘snack’ and then asking me to exercise.”
