A Sydney bakery has caused a stir among customers after selling a meat pie for $20.
Lode Pies and Pastries in Surry Hills has been selling this delicious treat for years and has become known for its unique and filling creations.
This tasty meatloaf takes three days to prepare, has layers of flaky pastry, a “chimney” on top to pour the chicken sauce over the wagyu breast, carrot and sliced shiitake mushrooms.
A debate started on Facebook about whether $20 is “too much” to pay for a humble pie; some think it’s “absurd”, others say it’s so tasty and filling it’s worth every penny.
Customer Chris praised the cake on a popular Facebook group, saying: “I think I found the most expensive cake in New South Wales.”
