Meghan Markle, 38, was amazed while attending the 91st Field of Rememberance at Westminster Abbey while depositing her usual subtle makeup for a stunning high-glamor look
The Duchess of Sussex is known for her love of subtle and minimal makeup, often with a makeup look without makeup – seen last month in Cape Town
The Duchess of Sussex, who joined husband Prince Harry, 35, to honor the country's war dead, warmly wrapped in a Sentaler navy jacket from their fall 2015 collection and a pair of £ 620 knee-high heels from Tamara Mellon.
The mother-of-one added a pair of chic leather gloves and a £ 630 velvet blue fascinator from Philip Treacy to complete her look.
But it was her makeup look that surprised spectators, with Meghan opting for a more glamorous look, with a sweeping marker, added eyelash extensions, and a shimmering metal lip.
It was a step away from the usual subtle, naked makeup style of her mother, for which she is known.

Makeup artist Lisa Little suggested that the royal had gone for her staple-eyeliner, but added extra glamor with extensions and guts of mascara.
She added: & # 39; Megan is bronzed around the contours of her face to further enhance and heat the skin tone. & # 39;
She added: & # 39; My general opinion is that the duchess has brought the Hollywood glamor to the royal family. & # 39;
Meanwhile, beauty expert and broadcaster Alison Young suggested that the royal & # 39; had opted for a much more polished and refined look than we normally see her wear & # 39 ;.
She suggested the biggest difference was in her eye makeup and said: & # 39; Meghan tends to opt for a thin black lining on the upper eyelids and a soft layer of eyelashes, but here she has lining along her waterline and on the upper eyelid to add intensity to the eyes.
Makeup artist Lisa Little, however, suggested that Meghan today was looking for & # 39; Hollywood glamor & # 39 ;, suggesting that her added extensions and bronzer contours enhanced her natural beauty
& # 39; False eyelashes add volume and length, something we have not seen before on Meghan and give her a more glamorous, yet sophisticated look. & # 39;
She went further: & # 39; Generally when we see Meghan, she has a very modest base, but here she went for full coverage for a more airbrushed effect. & # 39;
Alison added: “Perhaps the most subdued but impactful change in Meghan's makeup look is her lips.
& # 39; Here we see a defined, darker shade that perfectly lines her lips, emphasizes her cupid bow and adds volume and definition to the lips.
& # 39; The addition of a peachy metallic luster compliments her dark eye and bronzed skin and connects the makeup look together. & # 39;
