London Shanta, a real estate agent and aspiring fashion designer from Jacksonville, Florida, left her home and went “off the grid” with her enormous brood last August.

The family of seven now lives in a tent in the woods, where they forage and grow their own food – and according to London, the new lifestyle has completely changed their life.
“After three years of planning and procrastinating, we finally made it,” she captioned a video showcasing the tent they purchased in August. “Our journey begins.”
In a follow-up video, London explained that she made the decision to move so she could “focus on healing, creating and raising free-spirited children.”

She explained that they had already learned a lot about “food culture” and loved having “everyday adventures” together.
She added that although many in her family think she’s “delusional,” she doesn’t regret “following her heart.”
“It has brought me more peace than ever,” she said. “Most people will not understand why I choose to believe in myself and follow where my spirit leads me, but I know that God gives us seeds deep within us that, if planted and nurtured, will reap a harvest and I can do anything.”
London explained in other videos that she purchased land in the woods through Facebook Marketplace and then moved out of the house they were renting.
After setting up a few tents, she set about building a “privacy fence” to ensure hikers wouldn’t trespass.
Today, she is saving to buy a camper van so she and her children can “live their best lives” and “travel the world.”

And according to London, she and her family now live completely “rent-free and stress-free.”
“Even though some people may think it’s selfish towards the children, my children are very happy, they are not locked up in the school system all day and are given to someone else to raise and watch them “, she addressed her haters in another TikTok.
“They own their time. We do things as a family. My values are God, family and my freedom. Everyone’s values are different, so their lifestyles are different.
“It’s a sacrifice we make, not to be free from rent or to escape bills, but to take back our time and our freedom and own the things we have so that we can pass generational wealth to our children.”
London said she hated “other people who were with her kids eight hours a day while she worked and toiled” and that she “could only enjoy her time if she took time off work.”
In the video’s caption, she added, “There’s too much going on in the world, which is why we made the decision to sacrifice temporary comfort so that our children will never be so brainwashed into thinking that working every day of their life to harvest and sow a seed for someone else to reap the harvest is normal.
“A lot of people think it’s okay to chase money and work every day, but that’s not the case. God put us here to live, not to survive.
