Katy Perry fled Australia on Friday after a 24-hour quarantine at her Sydney hotel.
The pregnant singer, 35, was isolated on Thursday and forced to cancel a ‘secret listening party’ after a coronavirus fear rocked her record label.
It is believed that two people at Universal Music Australia headquarters in Woolloomooloo were exposed to the virus and staff were instructed to ‘quarantine themselves immediately’.
According to Sunshine Coast Daily, Universal has decided to cancel the private event in Redfern as a safety measure for Katy and other employees.

The event was scheduled to receive 30 record label workers and various media representatives.
Katy was apparently discouraged from attending the event just minutes before leaving her hotel.
An industry insider told Daily Mail Australia that this was a smart decision, as “these events always exceed or exceed the capacity of the room.”
“I am deeply concerned about those attending that listening party. Everyone is standing shoulder to shoulder to fit the room, “the source said.
“If the two exposed staff members were at the event, or if someone they had come in close contact with over the past few days was at the event, I would be very concerned.
These are considered networking events. For those I attended, our guideline was to “shake hands with everyone” and “hand out as many business cards as possible.” ‘

A famous photographer, who asked to remain anonymous, told Daily Mail Australia that Katy did not leave her hotel all day Thursday.
Despite this claim, she uploaded an Instagram Story post with the word ‘WASH’ in the air at around 4:00 PM (AEST) from Circular Quay.
She captioned it: ‘marg [right now] in Sydney. “
However, it’s unclear if she took the photo herself, as images of the airborne message ‘WASH HANDS’ were widely shared by Sydneysiders.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Universal Music Australia for comment.
Katy said on Monday that her parents hesitated to make physical contact with her during her pregnancy amid growing fear of the coronavirus.
Health authorities have advised the public not to give, hug, or kiss hands to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The Wide Awake star told radio show Hughesy & Ed that her mom and dad took these recommendations very seriously.
She said, “My parents hit me recently. I was like, “What? Okay. I don’t know … cool.”
“I came out and stuff, but I was like,” Of course, yes. “That’s what the news will do forever, I guess! ‘
