The 2024 Logie Awards are set to dazzle with a star-studded musical tribute as Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian prepare to honour the legendary John Farnham.
The duo will take to the stage alongside The Farnham Band for a special performance celebrating Farnham’s illustrious career and remarkable achievements.
The tribute is expected to be one of the highlights of the evening as the Logies pay tribute to an artist who has left an indelible mark on Australian music.
Farnham, affectionately known as Australia’s “The Voice,” has had a career spanning more than five decades, with numerous chart-topping hits and unforgettable performances.
But he is unlikely to perform again after undergoing marathon surgery to remove the tumour from his mouth.
The operation, carried out by 26 medical professionals, also included the removal of much of his jaw and, 12 months after the surgery, Farnham revealed he was cancer-free.
He only discovered he had a cancerous growth in his mouth after his wife Jill insisted on taking him to the doctor for a check-up when he developed a persistent mouth ulcer.
Mauboy and Sebastian, who have been vocal in their admiration for Farnham, are expected to deliver a powerful and emotional performance that will resonate with audiences and guests alike.

Fans have attributed the show’s success to Sam, with many tuning into The Logies for the first time just to watch him host the show.
He was a huge hit with viewers thanks to his fiery jokes, which took aim at everything from the crudest reality shows to the scandalous private lives of celebrities.
Sam’s opening monologue included a critique of Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show is “a clear sign that we’re not going to make it as a species.”
He also joked about the lack of diversity on commercial television, saying: “I’m the first presenter in the history of the Logies to be half and half – half Channel Seven, half Channel Ten.”
