As the cost of spending continues to rise in Australia, Madison has taken it upon herself to find ways to earn more money and has shared her experience via her ‘Saving Like Mad’ website.
Last year, he claims to have earned a staggering $19,668.11 from side activities alone.

“Another month down and our expenses are up yet again… Thankfully my side hustles have definitely helped take the pressure off the endless price hikes we’re being bombarded with,” Madison wrote on her blog.
She earned $319.30 completing surveys, $227.50 selling ‘savings trackers’ on Etsy, $345 completing market research, and $102.70 blogging.
The savvy mom also made use of the Cashback and Receipt Jar rewards websites, where she earned a total of $103.40.
Madison revealed that she spends an average of 1.5 hours every day completing surveys through websites including PureProfile, Octopus Group, PurplePatch and Swagbucks.
On Etsy, she also sells a variety of printable savings charts and finance-related worksheets for as low as $2 each.
As for market research, Madison says she receives survey invitations through AttaPoll and PurplePatch.
Lately I love market research. These include product tests, reviews, online journals, and mystery shopping. I really enjoy these because they usually pay out loads and I even end up with really cool freebies,” she wrote.
Few may be aware of the Receipt Jar app, where users can take a photo of their receipt to earn points that can be redeemed for cash. Last month Madison made $5 doing this.
Others were ‘blown away’ by the hustle profits and thanked Madison for sharing the insightful scheme.
