These days, the 55-year-old Glass Onion star is looking slimmer, sleeker and more trim after losing more than 60 pounds for his latest film The Killer’s Game, in which he plays an assassin.

He’s lost so much weight that he looks like a completely different person than he did in the heyday of his wrestling days, or his role as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Dave, who recently shared a photo of himself as a teenager, retired from his wrestling career in 2019 and decided to focus on his acting career and lose weight to avoid being typecast in roles similar to Drax the Destroyer.

He adjusted his diet but found that it wasn’t working well, so he started practicing jiu-jitsu.

“It’s my way of losing weight,” Bautista explained in Lives with Kelly and Mark Earlier this summer.

“I was struggling to lose weight, so I brought a trainer, my friend Jason Manly, to Budapest with me while I was filming Dune,” he said.

He added that the duo “did nothing but fight, like for hours. So I started losing weight and I thought I would keep going like that to get my brown belt.”

Bautista admitted that his cardio training took a toll. “I was losing weight and I sacrificed a lot of muscle, but I’m okay with that because I feel more comfortable,” he told Kelly Ripa.

But despite his incredible transformation, the Wrecking Crew actor explained that, like many people, one annoying part of his body was resisting weight loss.

“There were certain areas that, no matter how much weight I lost, I couldn’t get rid of,” she said.

“This little bit here,” she said, pointing to her stomach, “and even down here,” she added, pointing to her chest, “and even on my face, like I’m holding on to fat.”

“When I was younger, I would just throw it away. I couldn’t get rid of it,” Bautista added, to which Mark Consuelos cheekily replied: “Get another tattoo.”

In an interview with YouTuber Chris Van VlietBautista exposed the truth of the numbers when it comes to his weight over the years.

“The heaviest I’ve ever weighed was 370 pounds. When I first started Deacon (his wrestling character), I was around 325 pounds,” he said.

‘For most of my wrestling career I weighed around 290 pounds. Now I weigh around 240 pounds.

“A year and a half ago I went to see Knock at the Cabin and I weighed 300 pounds,” she said of her role in M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller.

“I’m getting super fit, this is probably the lightest hair I’ve had since I was 19,” she shared.

As far as his diet goes, the wrestler-turned-actor is largely vegetarian, adding eggs and fish for protein.

And this diet not only helps her lose and maintain her weight, it is also a panacea for her allergies and asthma.

“Before I started this diet I suffered from asthma and allergies and found it very difficult to lose weight,” she said. Men’s health last year.

He added that he used to pile on the calories during his wrestling career until he discovered he was allergic to dairy.

“By switching, I lost weight more easily and I have allergies and asthma less often.”

And when it comes to WWE, Bautista says he would “never go back” because he is one of the only wrestlers who left the sport “on my own terms.”

She added: “I will come back and appear on the show, I just won’t wrestle again,” she said, adding that the time for making a living by abusing her body has passed.
