A four-year-old boy was in tears when he was hiding in a room at the back of a house, while a woman would have beheaded her own mother during a psychotic episode.
Jessica Camilleri, 25, is accused of murdering her 57-year-old mother Rita Camilleri on July 21.
Mrs. Camilleri's body was found around 11:40 pm in the kitchen of their home in St. Clair, western Sydney.
Reportedly, Jessica stabbed her to death with multiple kitchen knives before cutting her head and throwing it in a neighbor's lawn.
The boy had been home at the time and fled to a room at the back of the house to hide, a friend of the family told me The Daily Telegraph.

Neighbor Ali Bostani said she could hear the four-year-old boy crying from the house when Jessica arrived and asked her to call the police.
When the boy was taken away from the site by the police, spectators described him as bewildered.
The young boy had minor bruises on his head after the incident.
The following day he was taken to the children's hospital in Westmead for an evaluation.
Reportedly, he has been quite withdrawn and quiet in recent days.
Child psychologists have encouraged him to express how he feels through drawing and speaking.

Reportedly, Jessica went through periods in which her circumstances occurred in lesser ways, and she is thought to have done well lately.
She worked as a cashier at her local Kmart in Mount Druitt, but had not appeared in her services a week prior to the alleged attack.
Mrs. Camilleri lived with her daughter in her home in St. Clair and it was also believed that she cared for her petite, older mother.
The police described the scene as & # 39; one of the most horrible & # 39; with which they once had to deal, where officers needed advice after seeing it.
Several knives were seized on the spot and are forensically examined.
