The Australian Council of Trade Unions will submit its submission to the Fair Work Commission’s annual minimum wage review on Friday.

Ai Group CEO Innes Willox said more data would be reviewed before his organization settles for a proposed minimum wage amount.
“The minimum wage increase from last year’s annual wage revision was not paid by employers in some industries until February 1, 2021,” he said.
“It would be extremely unfair to require them to pay another raise on July 1.”
Mr Willox said the committee should take into account that Australia has the highest national minimum wage in the world based on purchasing power parity.
