A thrifty shopper has revealed how she walked away from her local grocery store with over 170 items for less than $ 74.

The woman posted a Queensland Coles haul on Facebook – including some organic food for her child and bags of Indian food for herself.

She says she did her normal shopping when she saw a large section in the back of the store with significantly fewer items, many of which were selling for much less than a dollar.

All of this came to a total of just $ 74.20. The due dates were usually December and April next year, with one in July this year and the rest around October this year, ”the mother told members of a private group.

The woman collected 176 items, which would have cost more than $ 200 without the discounts.

Products included dips, rice dishes, curries, bars and biscuits.

The woman told the private Facebook group that all items had been reduced to prices between 20 and 50 cents, except for a fried chicken that she bought for $ 7.56.

Without the chicken, she would have bought 175 pieces for an average of 38 cents each.

“With my hungry cock this will all be over long ago,” she said.

“This could take two or three months.”

The woman shared her score across the group to encourage others to look for the discounted items section in their local stores and join the savings.

Several members of the private group congratulated the woman on the swipe, and many said they saw the same items on sale at full price.

‘Wow! I was literally just in Coles Arana Hills (QLD) and all those items you have were either full price of ‘five for $ 8,’ ” one person said.

‘What a great stock! There is something about stocking up as a mother that makes your heart so happy, ‘one commented.
