House Republicans continue to hammer Biden on the border with resolution denouncing the ‘worst’ immigration crisis in HISTORY allowing over 9 million illegal migrants to enter the U.S.

The House voted to pass a resolution Tuesday that claims President Joe Biden has created the “worst border security crisis” the country has ever seen.

The resolution passed the House by a vote of 226 – 193. Notably, 14 Democrats voted in favor of the resolution.

Democratic Reps. Jared Moskowitz, Henry Cuellar, Jared Golden and Mary Peltolta were among those voting in favor of the resolution.

The measure specifically condemned the Biden administration’s border policies, alleging that he has encouraged over 9.3 million illegal migrants to arrive at America’s southern border since he took office.

It also gave Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas for helping Biden create ‘the worst border security crisis in the nation’s history’.

Mayorkas was impeached by the House last month over his handling of the US-Mexico border.

The resolution was written by Rep. Monica De La Cruz, R-Texas, who represents a large stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border.

“This decision once again brings to light a chilling reality that under the watch of President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas, our nation has witnessed the worst border crisis in American history,” De La Cruz said on the floor of the House on Tuesday.

“The resolution is clear about its demands, it’s time for this administration to uphold its responsibility.”

“We must initiate asylum cooperation agreements with safer partner countries, employ a rapid removal authority in a sensible manner, and ensure that those inadmissible are detained as federal law requires,” De La Cruz said.

Some of the policies she championed, such as asylum deals and expedited removal, were expanded under former President Donald Trump’s administration.

Under Trump, the U.S. entered into asylum cooperation agreements with Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, meaning that data collected on the migrants crossing through those countries will be provided to U.S. officials.

The current administration “suspended and terminated” the agreements as part of Biden’s “open borders agenda,” the resolution said.

On expedited removal authority, which allows low-level immigration officials to remove certain noncitizens without a hearing, Biden’s administration rolled back expansions made under Trump.

Still, President Biden blamed Republicans for the migrant crisis along the southern border during his State of the Union remarks last week.

While touting a bill that could have provided for border security reforms, Biden noted how “unfortunately, politics has derailed it so far,” in a jab at the GOP, which did not support the measure.

“This is not really an issue of immigration policy, but of national security, public safety and basic human dignity,” De La Cruz said.

‘We deserve a sensible, safe and humane immigration system for the sake of our nation, for the protection of our citizens and the integrity of our borders.’

The passage of the resolution is largely symbolic, but it goes on the record that Biden has created the worst immigration crisis ever to hit the United States

With the Republican voting margin only razor-thin and expected to narrow by the end of next week, getting something through the chamber is a win for the GOP conference.
