The official trailer for the second season of House of Dragons has been released.
Fans got a glimpse of the action-packed next chapter of the Game of Thrones prequel, with Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke returning for what is sure to be another dramatic season.
The trailer shows Smith again as Daemon Targaryen while D’Arcy and Cooke go to war for the Iron Throne.
The second season will debut on Max on June 16.

‘The Targaryen who sits on the Iron Throne is not just a king or queen. They are a protector of the kingdom,” D’Arcy is heard contemplating at the beginning of the trailer.
“Now I find myself in an impossible situation,” he continues.
As King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) approaches his throne, D’Arcy reflects, “The enemy usurped my throne.”

Meanwhile, in a tense meeting, King Aegon asks while casually pointing his knife at the others, “What are we going to do about it?”
“Proceed with caution,” Queen Alicent Hightower (Cooke) sternly advises.
‘Damn dignity!’ Aegon suddenly shouts, before adding in a colder tone, “I want revenge.”
As the soldiers prepare for battle, Daemon is seen reflecting, “I didn’t think they would be so eager to die.”
