Three children are fighting for their lives after a fire ripped through a house in Melbourne’s north-west suburbs.
Emergency services were called to a home on Fergus Court in Sydenham at around 9.30pm on Sunday following reports of a fire at the house.
Firefighters entered the house to fight the blaze and found three children inside, who were treated on the scene by paramedics.
The children were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Neighboring properties are being assessed for smoke damage, but the fire has not spread.
An investigation has been launched to clarify the circumstances of the fire.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
