Lawyers from two House Commissions will meet today to summon the interpreter who was at the door in Trump's discussion with Vladimir Putin in 2017.
Lawyers from the House Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Committee decided on the move after reports that Trump had confiscated the interpreter's notes after private discussions with the Russian president at the G20 summit in Hamburg.
A senior Democratic Assistant of the Committee on Foreign Affairs said that news & # 39; the calculus had changed & # 39; and & # 39; a lot of questions had been raised & # 39 ;.

The assistant told ABC News: & # 39; We examine the legal implications of this and we will discuss our options.
& # 39; Our lawyers sit with lawyer attorneys to disable it. & # 39;
Commissioners are not yet busy drawing up subpoenas, but only discussing how they could issue one if the committees decide to do so.
A committee vote on the subject is added within a few weeks, the source.
The legal maneuvering comes after the Washington Post reported that Trump & # 39; extraordinary efforts & # 39; had done to keep the conversations with Putin private.
Officials told the newspaper that Trump had taken the interpreter's notes from his conversation with Putin on the G20, and told him not to talk to any other board members about what was being said.
Trump is accused of having ordered his interpreter to give notes about the meeting to keep them off the list, so that two house commissions have overwhelmed him
The meeting, which came next to a public sit-down between the two world leaders, was not reported at the time and was only recognized by the White House a week later.
As a result of tampering with official records by Trump, there is no account – even in classified files – about what happened between him and Putin on five different occasions, according to the Post.
A White House spokesman denied that Trump was trying to hide the details of the meeting and noted that former Rex Tillerson minister had been present.
Tillerson & # 39; gave a cursory reading of the meeting immediately thereafter to other US officials in a private environment, as well as a reading at the press, "said the spokesman.
House intelligence chairman Adam Schiff supported the idea to summon the interpreter on Sunday: "Last year we tried to get the counts or testimonies from the interpreter, from the private meeting between Trump and Putin.
& # 39; The Republicans in our committee voted us. Will they come to us now? Should we not find out whether our president is "putting America first?"
