Country singer Morgan Wallen was arrested on April 7 after allegedly throwing a chair from the sixth floor of a rooftop bar in Nashville, shortly after his ex-fiancée announced she had eloped.
Days earlier, the singer’s ex, Katie ‘KT’ Smith, had announced her engagement to her new partner Luke Scornavacco, shortly before getting married.

What happened the week Morgan Wallen was arrested?
Wallen was released on bond from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department after throwing the chair from the Chiefs Bar shortly after 10:45 p.m. on April 7.
The musician was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Officers say the chair landed three feet away from them.
He was arrested at 12:30 a.m. (CDT) and released three hours later on bail of $15,250 (£12,050), local authorities report.
According to sources, Wallen was upset after finding out that his ex-fiancée Katie ‘KT’ Smith had eloped with Luke Scornavacco on April 3, just five days after they got engaged.
KT began her relationship with Luke in June 2023, about four years after she left her relationship with Wallen.
Luke finally proposed to the social media influencer, who shares a son with Wallen on March 29, 2024.
The couple announced their elopement via Instagram just days later with the caption “swipe for a surprise.”
The surprise in question was their wedding certificate from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office in Tennessee, which confirmed that the couple had indeed married.

Who is KT Smith, Morgan Wallen’s ex-fiancee?
Country singer Morgan Wallen dated his ex-partner Katie ‘KT’ Smith for three years before the couple finally broke up in 2019.
KT was born and raised in Florida until he was 12, according to People.
Her parents separated when she was a small child and her father died when she was only four years old.
KT attended between 10 and 15 schools and moved frequently.
At the age of 12, she and her mother moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, to be closer to her half-brother.
While dating Wallen, she was a social media intern at his church and later held a sales position.
After a car accident, KT left his position at the church and took a position at his apartment complex.
However, when the country star went public with their relationship, KT’s social media following began to skyrocket, amassing over 100,000 followers.
She said on her blog: ‘A social media management company approached me and asked me to work for brands full time, which I did.

How long were Morgan Wallen and KT Smith together?
Wallen and KT first met on Snapchat in 2016, and the couple’s partnership evolved quickly as they became engaged just months after meeting.
The couple were together for three years despite breaking off their engagement early in their romance.
Wallen’s newfound fame in the country music world put pressure on their partnership, as KT confessed on his blog that their last year together was “difficult.”
According to her, the musician was not always faithful during his tours even though the couple lived together.
Admitting that she and Wallen were on and off during their last year together, KT explained that she would see the star when he was in town and would try to tour with him when she could.
“But being put in the spotlight at such a young age is obviously going to lead to some bad decisions. He wasn’t the most faithful,” he added.
After the couple broke up in 2019, KT discovered she was pregnant with their son Indigo Wilder.
In an interview with PeopleWallen said being a single father wasn’t what he imagined fatherhood would be like, but he still hoped to become a father.
‘I wanted to have a family like my parents. “My parents are still together, you know,” she shared.
