Horror attack at Melbourne train station: Stranger pushes woman onto tracks then flees

Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly pushed onto train tracks by a stranger who then fled the scene.

The woman was rescued by passers-by who jumped onto the tracks and carried her back to the platform at Melbourne’s Richmond station at 3.50pm on Wednesday.

Victoria Police said the woman was allegedly pushed onto the tracks by a man she did not know.

Has not yet been located.

Sky News reporter Simon Love was there when the woman was pushed and wrote on X that she was saved by good Samaritans.

Good Samaritans climbed onto the tracks and lifted her out before she received medical attention.,’ he wrote.

Paramedics treated the woman for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene before she was taken by ambulance to Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Mr Love reported the incident to police and said other passengers told him they saw…At least one other person was pushed while waiting on the platform.
