The suspect had allegedly used a “large knife” during an altercation to stab Loving in the chest for unclear reasons.

‘Shortly after that, we were notified that the student had succumbed to his injuries.

“What we do know is that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public or students at the school.”

An anonymous student said he had known Loving for some time and was “very hurt to see him go.”

‘I feel sad. It’s a lot to take in. I’ve known him for two or three years. It hurts a lot to see him leave like that with just a few fights,’ they said. KUVE.

Other students also revealed that a video of the stabbing and its aftermath was sent to the school, leaving many traumatized, including ninth-grader Jayden Albequerque.

‘One of my friends told me there was a murder and I didn’t believe it until they showed me a video of what happened. And that’s where I was traumatized. And I just hid in a corner.

Manor ISD Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani also released a statement saying, ‘This loss is devastating for our entire community, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. We know that words cannot ease the pain and we are all grieving together.

‘We understand that this situation raises concern and we will also review security on campuses. “Our priority is to be there for all students and staff as we navigate this difficult time together.”
