One man died and another was rushed to hospital after it was reported he had been hit by a collapsed brick wall at a construction site in Inglewood, Perth, on Thursday (pictured).

One man has died and another has been seriously injured after being crushed by a brick wall at a construction site.

Emergency services were called to Sexton Road, Inglewood, in Perth, shortly after 1pm on Thursday, following reports that two men had been injured.

One man, aged 69, died at the scene while another, aged 26, was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in a serious condition.

It is understood that both men were hit by a brick wall that collapsed on them, Perth now reported.

Several commercial vehicles were seen outside the house, which is believed to be under construction.

At least eight police officers remained at the scene Thursday afternoon as investigators tried to piece together how the tragedy unfolded.

People were seen hugging outside the house after learning about the incident from police.

CMFEU officials also attended the construction site.

A section of Sexton Road near the construction site remained cordoned off.

WorkSafe has been alerted and has launched a separate investigation into the workplace tragedy.
