The bodies of a man and a woman have been found floating in Melbourne’s Maribyrnong River.
Victoria Police said a member of the public first spotted the man’s body in the water near Saltriver Place in Footscray at about 9am on Sunday.
About 90 minutes later, another passerby found the body of a woman in the water near Smithfield Rd in Flemington.
Both bodies have not yet been identified and police are investigating whether the deaths are suspicious and whether there is any link between the two.
Images from the scene show police taking photos of one of the bodies on the riverbank.
