Horror accident in Yarra Valley kills woman, 28, after her hatchback collided head-on with a 4WD driving on the wrong side of the road

A young woman died in a car accident in Yarra Valley, after the hatchback she was a passenger who collided head-on with four-wheel drive.
Investigators have learned that four-wheel drive had crossed the wrong side of the road and hit the smaller car on Warrandyte Road in Kangaroo Ground on Friday at 3:20 PM.
The 28-year-old Croydon woman was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died.

The hatchback driver, a 29-year-old Croydon man, is in a serious condition at the hospital.
The four-wheel drive driver, a 58-year-old Rhyll woman, is hospitalized with minor injuries and will be interviewed by police at a later date.
A police spokesman said, “A 28-year-old Croydon woman who was the passenger in the Toyota hatch was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but sadly died later.”
