Mistry also caused serious injuries to the front passenger of the car he collided with head-on and they were taken to Milton Keynes University Hospital by ambulance following the incident.

Investigating officer PC Phil McGlue, of the road policing unit, said: “This case is an extreme example of road rage.

“Mistry was in no immediate danger and chose to react in such a violent and disproportionate way that he turned a traffic dispute into a very serious assault.

“Drivers who behave in this manner will be rigorously investigated and held accountable for their actions and Mistry will now serve a prison sentence as a result of these decisions.”
