A Crumbl Cookie customer was left disappointed after receiving “pumpkin pudding puree” instead of a cake.
The TikToker, who posts under the username Badlands987, went viral after showing off an extremely underbaked square pumpkin pie she purchased from infamous dessert chain Crumbl.
The 23-year-old moved her spoon around the pumpkin dish on the menu in a TikTok. videowhich looked sticky like cake batter.
“I first looked at the reviews and none of them looked like this,” the TikToker wrote in the description of her video.
Badlands987 is one of several TikTokers who complained about the cake being underbaked last week.
A TikTok user (Badlands987) was one of several Crumbl Cookie customers who complained about the chain’s square pumpkin pie.
Crumbl Cookies promoted the square pumpkin pie on its TikTok the same day the woman posted her video on the social media platform.
“A moist and fluffy pumpkin square smothered in cinnamon brown sugar butter, topped with a light vanilla cream cheese frosting, and topped with a sprinkle of warm spices,” the dessert chain wrote in the video’s description.
During the video, the woman took a piece of cake out of the Cookie Crumbl box.
Since then, the company has faced the ire of dessert enthusiasts, some of whom claimed to have seen several videos of melting pumpkin square cakes.
“The amount of people saying it was raw is astounding,” one commenter wrote.
Another said to Crumbl: “Count your days.”
According to Badlands987, the square pumpkin pie her husband purchased was also raw, and a Crumbl Cookie employee allegedly told him, “They all look like that.”
The TikTok user purchased the square pumpkin pie after her husband allegedly bought the liquid treat during a separate Crumbl Cookie trip.
“I’m happy and sad that I’m not the only one. People think I’m lying,” she wrote in response to a commenter who allegedly saw four videos of complaints about square pumpkin pies.
More than one TikTok user also compared the cake to soup and oatmeal and claimed it was a “waste of money.”
“I just ordered this and I’m not kidding, it was delivered RAW. Message me to check, folks. It’s RAW, RAW. Like SOUP,” one TikTok user wrote.
Another Crumbl customer wrote: “Mine literally needed a spoon to eat. It was literally runny dough, and I’m in Wisconsin.”
At least three TikTok users who claimed to be pregnant were also concerned about the treat and whether it would affect the health of their unborn babies.
“Sorry, but I’m 7 months pregnant and I really wanted to eat it raw and liquid,” wrote one commenter.
Crumbl responded to numerous comments made by TikTok users who complained about the cake and urged them to contact the Customer Support Team.
However, two TikTokers insisted that they left messages and voicemails about the cake for the team and received no response from them.
Crumbl Cookie customers complained about the dessert’s runny consistency in a TikTok video the dessert chain posted the same day as Badlands987.
Other TikTokers who were reportedly given an undercooked square pumpkin pie enjoyed the gooey treat.
“Mine was so raw and runny I want a new one because the flavor was amazing,” one TikToker wrote.
Some TikTokers received a well-baked treat, with one person calling it “the best” thing they’ve ever had at Crumbl Cookies.
“Just got mine today and it was perfect. Where did they get the undercooked ones?” wrote one TikTok user.
“I’m glad I bought one before watching the videos. It’s so good! Give me one a day,” wrote one customer.
