Nigel Farage was attacked today by an attacker, not pictured, who threw objects during an open-top bus tour in Barnsley.

This is the shocking moment Nigel Farage had wet cement thrown at him while taking a Open-top bus tour of Barnsley town center today.

Footage shows a man in a red hoodie picking up handfuls of cement from a workplace before throwing them at the reform leader.

He is seen being led away by construction workers while chanting “slag, scum, slag” before being arrested by police.

Farage, 60, had just addressed his supporters before being interrupted by a crowd of protesters and warned by police not to get off the bus.

Following the incident, he thanked South Yorkshire Police and added: “I will not be bullied or intimidated by a violent left-wing mob who hate our country.”

It is the second time he has been attacked while campaigning for the general election after being sprayed with a milkshake in Clacton, Essex, last week.

Victoria Thomas-Bowen, 25, was arrested on Clacton pier shortly after dousing the UK’s new reformist leader in a banana milkshake on June 4.

The OnlyFans model caught the eye when Farage left a Wetherspoons pub in the seaside town.

Thomas-Bowen was arrested on suspicion of assault, taken into custody in Clacton but later released under police investigation.

The 25-year-old was charged with assault and criminal damage last Wednesday.

Police also said no further action was being taken in relation to a man who was arrested at the same time on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.

They stated: ‘A woman is due to appear in court following an incident in Clacton.

‘Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 2 to answer charges of assault by beating and criminal damage.

‘The charges relate to an incident where a drink was thrown at a man in the Marine Parade East area, Clacton, at around 2.10pm on Tuesday 4 June.

“A 44-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker has been released and will face no further action.”

The incident sparked widespread condemnation from MPs across the political spectrum, including Labour’s Yvette Cooper, who called it a “disgrace” and “completely unacceptable and wrong”.

Reacting to the milkshake incident, Farage told ITV: “I don’t know what was thrown at me, but it hit me in the face fairly.” Pretty scary.’

He went on to say that he believes they keep throwing the dairy drink at him because he goes out “to meet the public and no one else does.”

The Clacton incident had echoes of 2019, when he was the victim of a similar stunt in Newcastle.

Her attacker was later ordered to carry out community service and pay £350 compensation.

Farage has dramatically returned to the political front line and has also been installed as leader of Reform UK in place of Richard Tice.
