Hornby warned yesterday that some deliveries have been delayed as a result of maritime attacks in the Red Sea.

The Margate-based model train maker claimed this had contributed to a drop in sales in recent months.

Sales during the first three months of the year were 8 percent lower than in the same quarter a year earlier, the company revealed.

This decrease was partly due to delays in deliveries across the Red Sea.

The attacks there are being carried out by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who support Hamas in the terrorist group’s war against Israel.
