A man has died after allegedly being pulled from his car and stabbed – sparking a manhunt for the perpetrator.

Emergency services were called to a busy car park in Hope Island, on the Gold Coast, at around 2.20pm on Monday to reports of a man being stabbed.

There they found the body of a man in his 30s with severe stab wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Queensland Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia that a crime scene has been established and investigations are ongoing.

One local said they had ‘never seen so many police cars in one place’ as officers descended on the scene and are now reportedly chasing an armed offender.
