Renewing your home is often hard work, but a 21-year-old woman has revealed how she managed to do it in just six months.

Kylie Boase, from Perth, Western Australia, has a passion for homes, so she and her boyfriend recently bought a house and decided to renovate it together.

"When we bought the house, it had an atmosphere of the 90s, with terracotta tiles, the living room was also very small and was closed by a wall that separated the kitchen from the living room," Kylie told FEMAIL.

"It's the first room you see when you enter my house, so I wanted it to be open and bright."

The couple bought the house while they lived at home with their parents and worked on the renovation during that time.

Kylie explained that although the housing market is not stable enough to sell in Perth, it is good to buy.

"We bought our house fairly cheaply, my partner was working as a FIFO, and I was working full time as a construction cleaner," he said.

"We kept saving, and we did everything that had to be done first in the house." We are still doing small things in the house, everything takes time. "

When it came to renovation, the young couple began by eviscerating the house and then painted the walls to refresh it.

"Then we installed the kitchen, then the bathroom and the clothes, the floor was installed at the end," he said.

In general, the renovation cost them $ 35,000, and most things were purchased at Ikea, Bunnings, Kmart and Target.

The living room was the fastest room to renovate once the wall separating it from the kitchen was broken down.

The kitchen took the most amount of time, as they had a couple of problems with their worktables that did not fit, which added an extra two months to the process.

The bathroom and the laundry were the rooms that had to be done for the last time and it took a month to do it.

"The kitchen costs approximately $ 16,000, then another $ 2,500 for everything to install," Kylie said.

The clothes were approximately $ 4,000 and the bathroom cost $ 6,000.

Most of the kitchen was bought in Ikea.

The top of the marble appearance bench and the dashboard were from Bunnings, as well as the black sink, which delayed them $ 1,000.

"The laundry cabinets and the worktable were also purchased from Bunnings and I bought the black sink from eBay for $ 299," Kylie said.

To reduce costs, they bought most of the decorative items from the house in low-budget chain stores.

"The coffee table is from Freedom, some of the cushions are from Target and Adairs and the jute rug is from Kmart," he said.

She has also been working in the bedroom and backyard, and has included it in the cost of $ 35,000.
