A desperate search has been launched to find a teenage girl after she went missing from her home.

Alyssa Stewart, 13, was last seen leaving a property in Homebush West, western Sydney, at 7pm on Thursday.

The family reported her missing to the police, prompting them to launch a search for her whereabouts.

She is 160 cm tall, slim and has black hair.

Alyssa has an Indian subcontinental appearance.

She was last seen wearing a black Brent Street jacket, a pink top, and black shorts.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
