The Home and Away star shared a video on Instagram in which she placed water in the air fryer with a tablet to wash the dishes. The 46-year-old then set the air fryer for 15 minutes to clean it, before showing off the result.
“Nooooo, ours broke after we did that.” The moisture from the water damaged the elements in mine. I almost set a fire,” one person commented.
“You should definitely read your manual first, it may not work with all brands,” Ada clarified in a response.
“A little waste of electricity. I put boiling water in mine, detergent and let it soak for 30 minutes then washed it,” someone else wrote.
“Put it in the dishwasher after each use, is that a tip? ‘I also sometimes use foil, so no clean-up is necessary!’ said another.

However, many of Ada’s fans were unimpressed, leading the actress to add a warning. “FYI: Please consult your air fryer manual before trying this hack! As this may not work for all brands, she added in her comments.
“It doesn’t work,” one person complained while another added: “Soaking it in hot water and normal detergent would do the same thing.”
‘Dishwasher. Or just regular dish soap with warm water, soak for five minutes and dry. Do!’ someone else said.
“I was doing that and the fence ended up coming loose. It started to peel off and was still stuck in food which I threw out more times than I would have liked. Now I’ve had this part replaced (I have this brand too), I wash with soapy water when I’m done,” wrote another.
Others loved the hack, with someone writing: “Amazing hack!! Thank you so much for sharing!! I will definitely try this one.
