‘Maybe I should just slide to the DMs’: Home and Away star Sam Frost reveals she wants Sam Mac to join her singles lockdown bubble

Home and Away star Sam Frost took part in a hilarious prank on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on Friday.

The newly single actress, 32, was asked to fool celebrity manager Mark Klemens to see if he had any talent in his books that could join her ‘singles bubble’ during the Covid-19 lockdown in Sydney .

Things took a funny turn when Sam asked Klemens – who represents Nova host Michael “Wippa” Wipfli – if Sunrise weather forecaster Sam Mac would like to live with her.

“It’s just easier with someone with a profile because they just get it as opposed to a random person you met on Tinder or something!” Sam started calling.

She added, “And Sam Mac, is he in your books?”

Klemens told Sam that the Sunrise star already had a girlfriend, stylist Rebecca James.

‘Yes, that’s him. Sam is in our books, but he has a partner,” a bewildered Mark replied.

‘Well, how serious are they really? Do you know what I mean?’ Sam then asked.

Taking the joke further, Sam said she might have been “trying to sneak into Sam’s DMs” to gauge his devotion to Rebecca.

The joke took another surreal turn when a persistent Sam inquired about Wippa, who is happily married to his wife Lisa.

‘Do you have anyone else? Rocky relationships are fine because I think if you push them in the lockdown, people realize they don’t like each other and they’re like, “Oh, Sam’s nice, she’s hilarious,” she said.

‘And Wippa? How’s his relationship going? I know he’s married, but [Lisa] must be busy with the kids. And he lives around the corner from me!’

Uncomfortable! Sam persisted, then asked about Wippa, who is happily married to his wife Lisa (both pictured). 'And Wippa? How's his relationship going? I know he's married, but should be busy with the kids or something. And he lives around the corner from me!'

Klemens again stressed that Wippa was married, but awkwardly suggested he would be willing to “go for a walk” with her to keep her company during the lockdown.

Wippa then dropped in on the joke, joking, “I mean, I could move in!”

Klemens was shocked to find out that his star client had played a prank on him and said with a laugh, ‘I was thinking, ‘this is crazy!’

Sam is single after recently breaking up with her on-off boyfriend Dave Bashford.

In new rules introduced this week, Sydney singles can now keep some company in lockdown by nominating one person to visit them over the next four weeks.

The lockdown will end at the end of August but is expected to be extended if the number of coronavirus cases does not fall.
