Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou reveals she struggles with body image and admits she’s not ‘as confident as I should be’

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has spoken out about her struggles with body image.

The 44-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Mondays, body image is something she has struggled with.

“I’m not going to lie and say there haven’t been times when I wasn’t as confident as I should be,” she said.

Ada continued, “We all have those moments and I still do now, but most of the time I surround myself with people I love.”

“I think I’m generally confident in my own skin.”

The actress continued that she stays in shape by eating healthy and exercising on a daily basis.”

“I’m not going to lie and say there haven’t been times when I wasn’t as confident as I should be. We all have those moments and I still do, but for the most part I surround myself with people I love,” she said.

In April, Ada told Who magazine that she views exercise as a form of self-care while balancing her busy career with raising her son Johnas.

“I make sure my exercise is a priority — that means I’m a priority too,” she said.

“Once I have my weekly schedule from work, the first thing I do is map out when I’m going to exercise. I will write this in my journal and basically set a date with myself,” she added.

“My workouts are me-time, so they’re very important to me and always have been.”

Ada tries to go to bed early so she gets up at 4:30 AM for a 30-minute workout session before going to work.

She likes to exercise three to four times a week and her regimen includes a combination of strength training, cardio, boxing, Pilates and walks, plus a few sessions with a personal trainer.
