Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou reveals her secret to removing cutlery stains in seconds: ‘Amazing’

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has revealed her kitchen hack for flawless cutlery – and all you need is an unlikely home staple.

Ada is also bothered by her stainless steel cutlery turning brown in the dishwasher, like many Australians.

“You know when you take things out of the dishwasher and they’re rusty and you can’t get them out?” she asked in one video before pointing to one of his brown-stained knives.

He recently discovered a new trick using aluminum foil.

“You take some aluminum foil, crumple it up, and rub the ball on the stain,” he advised, doing the same with his knife.

Australian TV star Ada Nicodemou has revealed her trick for flawless cutlery.

Ada was surprised when the mark effortlessly erased and she was left with a shiny coating.

‘This is amazing, I’m doing all the cooking!’ Ada raved.

According to Australian property maintenance company Fantastic Services, aluminum foil has no cleaning properties, but aluminum works well on shiny utensils and even oven racks.

Some others revealed other surprising uses for kitchen essentials.

‘I use aluminum foil to sharpen my scissors and garden shears!’ one shared.

“This is how I clean my car wheels before polishing them,” said another.

“It’s also great for cleaning the bottom of pots,” added one woman.

“Steel wool does the same thing,” wrote another.

Ada was surprised when the mark faded away and she was left with a shiny covering.

Another mom shared a different trick that works similarly.

Carolina Mccauley, from Perth in Western Australia, shared a tiktok video shown rolling a sheet of aluminum foil into a ball before dropping it into the cutlery basket inside her dishwasher.

After washing the plates and cutlery as usual, the mother of two opened the dishwasher and found her silverware shining.

“This dishwasher trick will leave your cutlery sparkling clean,” he insisted.

The cleaning method works so efficiently because of a chemical reaction between the aluminum foil and the dishwasher tablet, which breaks down all the dirt.
