After appearing on Coronation Street, Rupert decided he loved the city where the soap was filmed, Manchester, so much that he bought a house there.
It settled in the city’s trendy Northern Quarter, known for its vibrant street art, lively restaurants, bohemian bars and independent record stores.
Rupert is married to his former Corrie co-star Jenny Platt, who played his on-screen love interest Violet Wilson.
Scree star Rupert’s soap character Jamie was the son of Bradley Walsh’s character Danny Baldwin.
Rupert already has experience as a pub landlord and has taken over and renovated The Parlor in Manchester.
