Hollywood’s favorite final resting place was damaged by a powerful storm that ravaged Los Angeles with fierce winds toppling trees and downing cables.
Fallen trees and debris litter celebrity graves at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills in the aftermath of this weekend’s storm. Some trees were uprooted and tombstones fell over.
Many stars are buried in the famous cemetery, including actress Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds who were laid side by side after they died within days of each other in 2016, as well as famed pianist Liberace and actresses Lucille Ball and Brittany Murphy.
At the neighboring Mount Sinai Memorial Park cemetery, debris and a broken branch lay on the headstone of Bob Saget, the beloved TV dad and comedian who died in 2022 at age 65.
The storms battered California over the weekend with high winds that left more than 120,000 customers without electricity. More thunderstorms are expected this week.

George Raft, the actor who co-starred as a gangster with Marilyn Monroe in the 1959 comedy classic Some Like It Hot; Freddie Prinze, the Latino stand-up comedian and Chico and the Man star, who is also the father of actor Freddie Prinze Jr. are also among the many who have their final resting place in Forest Lawn.
Albert Broccoli, the producer behind the beloved films of the James Bond franchise, Morey Amsterdam, the actor best known as Buddy on The Dick Van Dyke Show, Isabel Sanford, who played George Jefferson’s wife on the popular sitcom The Jeffersons from the 1970s, and Ann Harding, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in 1930 for her role in the film Holiday, is also buried there.

Elsewhere in the cemetery are the graves of Michael Clarke Duncan, the actor who starred alongside Tom Hanks in the drama The Green Mile; McLean Stevenson, the comedic actor known as Colonel Henry Blake on the show M*A*S*H; and Lou Rawls, the Grammy winner who rose to fame with hits like “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” and “Lady Love.”
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother of the Bee Gees, who also scored several solo hits such as ‘Shadow Dancing’ and ‘Everlasting Love’ is also all buried in Forest Lawn.
Beloved Happy Days actor Tom Bosley, who played Howard Cunningham, was buried in the grounds along with silent movie star Buster Keaton.
Buried nearby are Marty Feldman, Gene Wilder’s right-hand man in Mel Brooks’ 1974 comedy Young Frankenstein, and Bob Kane, the comic who brought Batman to life in the 1930s.
Several other notable names in the cemetery include Steve Allen, who was the inaugural host of The Tonight Show in 1959, David Carradine, the actor who starred in the Kung Fu drama series, and Ricky Nelson, the hit star popular for his hits. like “Fools Rush In” and “Hello, Mary Lou.”
