Another day, another very public display of togetherness for Hollywood’s unlikeliest couple, Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
Gathered in Paris on Wednesday amid Chalamet’s ongoing publicity tour for his Bob Dylan biopic, A complete strangerJenner put her signature pout on full display and clung to her boyfriend’s arm as they braved the tangle of paparazzi who happened to be present to commemorate the “romantic” evening.
It’s been two weeks since the couple was last seen together. Jenner then appeared to be working overtime to generate some chemistry with her leading lady during another high-profile date night at the Golden Globes.
Clad in Versace chain mail and basking in Chalamet’s Oscar enthusiasm, Jenner frowned down at her tiny tache as if completely stultified by her dead-eyed charms.
Passion? I’m not convinced. In fact, the Golden Globe for best show should surely go to Chalamet and Jenner.
Yes, the Dune and Wonka star can be praised as he actor of his generation, but Chalamet is less convincing as the other half of the reality queen/makeup mogul.

Neither this week’s Paris outing nor their appearance together at the Golden Globes, where Chalamet was nominated for Best Actor for his role as Dylan, have done much to dispel the rumors of falsehood that haunt their strange union.
Snapping photos of Chalamet with a Y2K-era digital camera (how quaint) and cupping her face, Jenner’s PDA at the Globes felt as flat as Zoe Saldana’s saccharine acceptance speech. The yellowtail jalapenos served on Nobu’s Michelin menu probably generated the most heat.
In truth, speculation about the relationship has been rampant for a long time. The couple’s appearances have been strangely few and far between since they were first linked in April 2023.
Rarely seen on casual coffee runs or morning outings from each other’s homes, for the most part their relationship appears to consist of choreographed cuddling at very public events, from the U.S. Tennis Open to Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert.
Certainly, the 29-year-old actor’s devoted followers are not convinced by the love story. For starters, ‘Timmy’ is quite a departure from the list of rappers Jenner, 27, has previously dated, including Travis Scott, the father of her two children.
Rooted in reality TV, sex tapes and the constant rotation of high-profile encounters, the Kardashian/Jenner household seems very much at odds with the French-speaking actor who apparently craves privacy and is prone to deep philosophical reflections.
“You could be the master of your destiny, you could be the captain of your soul,” he responded when asked if he believes in fate and fate during a press interview for Dune with co-star Zendaya.
“But you have to realize that life comes from you and not from you, and that takes time.”

For many, whether fact or PR fiction, the fact that Chalamet is the mother of two children plus one represents a tasteless betrayal. Surely their dramas should be on the big screen with acclaimed directors and nowhere near the manufactured dross of a Kardashian reality show.
Let’s face it, getting Instagram snaps from Kylie’s ‘mom,’ Kris, when he was scheduled to host Saturday Night Live just isn’t a good look.
This may seem a little harsh on Jenner, but her self-obsession grates.
Like her sisters Kim and Kendall, the “self-made” billionaire’s day job making lip kits and clothing lines still seems like a sideshow to the private life she’s long commodified despite her grandiose claims. .
“I am a young woman and I do not depend on any man or anyone,” she declared in an interview with Glamor magazine back in 2016.
“I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I’m an inspiration to a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own two feet.”
However, for a woman born into a rich family and always hanging on the arm of rich and famous men, it all sounds a little empty.

Like the rest of her clan, she’s fully aware of the couple’s currency and is used to a feverish fanbase that can’t get enough of the combined star power among the glittering bunch.
As depressing as it may seem, we all know it can be a fast track to relevance and attention.
It remains to be seen how everything will play out for Jenner and Chalamet.
She’ll already be thinking about what to wear to the Oscars in March, whether they should pose together on the red carpet, practicing her most beloved look in case he wins and her name appears in his speech.
At least they have a little time to plan it, if they can get another date night before then.
