The actor, 28, who plays the 83-year-old Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door hitmaker, rode the red carpet on the green bike before successfully finishing his ride via his mobile phone.

He cut an elegant figure in a black jacket and matching pants, with a blue printed satin shirt underneath.

Timothee walked the red carpet alone and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner decided to stay home. The A-list couple has largely kept their two-year romance out of the spotlight.

Monica Barbaro, who stars in the film alongside Timothee and Elle Fanning, who didn’t show up for the UK premiere, made sure all eyes were on her at the event.

The actress, 34, who plays Joan Báez in the new film, wowed as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.

The film focuses on Dylan’s early career, his transition from folk to rock, and his performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, with Timothée being praised for his performance.

It comes after Timothée revealed he had “five years of singing practice” ahead of his role as Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic, A Complete Unknown.

The actor, 28, who plays the 83-year-old Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door hitmaker, sings and plays the songs live in the drama set to premiere in January.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, he admitted that he didn’t know much about Bob before, but is now “deeply passionate” about his cultural impact.

Timothée said: “I had a lot of time to practice because we had to make the film five and a half years ago, then Covid came and then the actors’ strike, so I have years to prepare.”

“I was confident in singing and when we came to make the movie I wanted to sing and play the songs live.”

He added, “I didn’t know much about Dylan, but now, after working on it for so long, I really worship at Bob’s church.”

‘I am deeply passionate about this man and his work. My friends are tired of hearing me talk about him ad nauseum.

“This man has had a huge impact on culture and this film and this role are the ones I am most proud of.”

The Oscar nominee, who had no encounter with the hitmaker before playing him, has been praised by critics for saving the film, despite its flaws.

Timothée continued: “Bob is a mysterious and elusive figure and a man of few words, so I never had the chance to meet him.

“I would like to, but I have a lot of respect because it is true to his character that I would never get to know him.”

Elle Fanning will play Sylvie Russo, a renamed version of Bob’s girlfriend from the time, while Monica Barbaro will play Joan Baez.

The film focuses on the singer-songwriter’s controversial switch to electric instruments at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

Timothée, who will be joined in the cast by Edward Norton and Boyd Holbrook, has been confirmed to sing himself in the film after lending his voice to his 2023 musical film, Wonka.

Director James Mangold confirmed that he has been working with Bob on the project and that the Hurricane singer had some personal input on the script.

During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the filmmaker said: “I’ve spent several wonderfully lovely days in his company, just one on one, talking to him.

‘I have a script that he personally wrote down and that I treasure. He loves movies. The first time I sat down with Bob, one of the first things he said to me was, “I love Cop Land.”

While the film will cover his early years, the director emphasized that A Complete Unknown was not strictly a biopic about the musician.

He explained, “By the way, it’s not really a Bob Dylan biopic.”

He added: “The reason Bob has supported us so much in making it is because, as in all cases, I believe that the best real-life films are never from the cradle to the grave, but rather they are about a moment very specific.”

“In this case, it may sound Altman-esque, but it’s kind of an ensemble piece about this moment in time, early ’60s New York, and this 17-year-old kid with $16 in his pocket hitches a ride to New York, York to meet Woody Guthrie, who is in the hospital and dying of a nervous illness,” he concluded.

Timothée gave fans their first look at the film’s long-awaited poster via Instagram in late August, just after the first trailer was released, giving fans a glimpse of the New York native in action.

And he has been seen channeling the singer on set on several occasions.

A source close to the actor shared that the stakes are high for him: “There’s a lot of pressure to do well.” Bob Dylan fans are crazy and will destroy him (Timothée) if he makes a mistake.’
