The A-list Hollywood actress begged Claudia Winkleman to let her star in the upcoming second series of Traitors.
The Traitors is a hyper-exciting psychological reality competition where 22 outsiders play the ultimate game of discovery, backstabbing and confidence, hoping to win up to £120,000.
The program has now gained 34 million views on BBC iPlayer, the BBC’s biggest new entertainment launch in two years.
The BBC One Twitter account shared a video in which it confirmed that a second series is on its way and invited fans of the show to apply for a second series.
But Courteney Cox seems to be a fan of hers because she begged the presenter to let her participate.
Fan: The A-list Hollywood actor begged Claudia Winkleman to let her star in the upcoming second series of The Traitors.
Revealed: Apparently Courteney Cox is a fan because she begged the presenter to let her participate.
In the video, Claudia appears alongside a masked figure while she is doing the ad.
She said: I have some news. Traitors 2 series is coming, would you like to participate? Just visit the BBC Take Part page and I might see you at the castle.
Courteney then revealed herself by pulling her hood down and asked, “Claudia, can I please do that?”
Claudia: I told you before, no. You cannot apply if you are famous or famous like that. Now go.
Many Twitter users were impressed by the revelation, with one writing: “You’ll never be able to guess who was under the cloak.”
Another said: Claudia and Courtney? I did not expect that,” while a third added: “I did not expect this revelation.”
Announcing the second series at the end of February, Claudia said: ‘I can’t wait to get back to the castle to watch people play the greatest match on TV. I love you high funnel jacket instantly.
In a video posted to Instagram, Claudia also encouraged potential contestants to apply. She said: I have a small question for you and yes the cloak may be waived for her.
The reaction: Many Twitter users were impressed by the revelation, with one writing: “You’ll never be able to guess who was under the cloak.”
Then I asked: This is the thing. Can you spot the liar? Can you betray those around you? How would you fare at the round table? What I’m asking is would you like to play? I’ll see you in the castle.”

Kalpana Patel-Night, BBC Head of Entertainment, said: ‘The ambitious and brilliant The Traitors with Claudia returned last year with the fantastic team at Studio Lambert set to bring viewers another fantastic series full of drama and suspense.
“We can certainly expect more deception and psychological games of traitors and believers.”
Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, said: ‘We’ve made a lot of viewers of BBC One and BBC iPlayer love the first season.
They told us they enjoyed the drama and entertainment of watching our players judge each other, often jumping to wrong conclusions, but also form true alliances and friendships. We are excited to have a second season with Claudia as we build together on the success of the first.
Traitors ended December 2022 with Faithfuls Hannah Byczkowski, Aaron Evans and Meryl Williams winning after exposing Wilf as a traitor at the last moment.
Proving to be popular with fans, the series closed to a record high of 3.2 million viewers during its tense finale.
And after the show, which took place at 19th-century Ardross Castle, 25 miles north of Inverness in Scotland, it was reported that BBC bosses were planning a celebrity version of the pageant.
While Claudia has previously admitted she’d like to see Alison Hammond and former EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt take over the castle, producers have mentioned names like Rylan, Russell T Davies and Kathy Burke.
In an interview with Metro, executive producers Sara Fay and Tony Ireland shared who they say is part of their perfect celebrity lineup.
“I think we want people who are invested in the game and want to play the game, and I think that’s what brings the drama so well,” Sarah told the publication.
`I would like to see Raylan (Clark), will be amazing, but Cathy Burke is also a fan. I mean, Russell T Davies is a fan. I think I want a mixture of different types of celebrities as well.

Winners! Believers Hannah Beczkowski, Aaron Evans and Meryl Williams won and managed to take home a combined prize of over £100,000.
Tony added, “Seeing Kathy Burke call out to someone at the Round Table could be a good thing.”
It is believed that the Celebrity Edition was planned as a charity release for either Children in Need or Comic Relief.
Through the pond, a famous and regular version has already been created. The Traitors US saw Under Deck star Kate Chastain, Brandi Glanville of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Cody Calafiori of Big Brother, TV personality Rachel Riley, Survivor competitor Stephanie LaGrosa, and Ceri Fields.
And although no dates for the celebrity series have been announced, fans of the show can still enjoy it on the BBC, now that the broadcaster has acquired the rights to the US version.
