Hollyoaks star Owen Warner reveals tragic family news as he confirms his mum has heart failure
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner revealed his family has had a heartbreaking year after finding out his mother, Polly, has heart failure.
Polly suffered from it had congenital heart disease throughout her life and underwent open-heart surgery as a child, as well as subsequent surgeries throughout the lives of her three sons.
However, it has now emerged that the surgeries have not been enough and she will most likely need a heart transplant within two years.
Fans will have seen Owen’s mother last fall during his acting days on I’m A Celeb, when his mother traveled to Australia to meet him on the other side of the bridge as he left the show.
Speaking of his mom’s health issues, the star said, “Nothing makes you step back and look at things more than someone in your family who’s having issues with their health.”

“Our mom means so much to us, she’s the heart of the family, so the news we’ve had over the past year has been really hard to hear.
“Mommy has helped us all so much and been so strong for all of us, now it’s our turn to do the same for her.”
Owen also has an incredibly close relationship with his two brothers Louie and Jake, who also surprisingly appeared in the ITV jungle show.
The trio captured the hearts of the nation after their reunion on ITV when Louie and Jake surprised Owen in the jungle when they surprised their brother while disguised as rangers.
Now they’re all supporting their mom, and this month Louis is running his first marathon, the Goodwood Marathon, to raise essential funds for the British Heart Foundation.
By raising money for charity, he contributes to life-saving research in hopes that medical breakthroughs can help his mother or others like his mother.
Opening up, Louis explained: “We’ve always been such a close-knit family. We used to think Mom would be just like any other grandparent and live to 90, but the reality is we don’t know how long she has left.
“I want to do my part by raising money for the BHF’s life-saving research. We can see the medical breakthroughs in real time and the money I raise can help save her life. If not from her, then from others. That’s why I’m doing my very first marathon. ‘

Owen recently set the record straight about his relationship with co-star Jemma Donovan following their rumored divorce.
Last month, it was thought that the couple had reportedly gone their separate ways, but the soap star has quashed such rumours.
On his Instagram stories last month, the star said, “I just want to say that Jemma and I have broken up.”
He confirmed reports of the split were ‘s**t’, with his partner Jemma sitting next to him saying the pair are ‘better than ever’.
The two were spotted together at the National Television Awards on Tuesday as the pair beamed together.
