It has been more than a year since abortion was decriminalized in Northern Ireland and yet women are forced to travel to England in the midst of a pandemic to access quality healthcare. It is unacceptable.
The UK Government, Secretary of State and Stormont all play pass the buck & good, safe, local abortion services are barely available or hanging by a thread (due to the sheer persistence of medical professionals and doctors).
This is despite the fact that nearly 18 months ago, the UK government mandated by law that abortion services should be made available in NI.
Stunning: The actress marveled at the remote shoot while enjoying the impending motherhood
The DUP just introduced a bill in Stormont a few weeks ago to try to reverse some of our new abortion laws.
Women and pregnant people are being abandoned by both governments in Northern Ireland. Don’t let these politicians get in the way of our rights. We should all have the right to choose.
We should all be entitled to good healthcare. We still have work to do. Lobby your MP or your MLA today to put pressure on them. ‘
