Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian has marked the end of five months of chemotherapy treatment amid her battle with breast cancer, she has revealed.
The actress, 42, best known for playing Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap from 2001 to 2007, was told by doctors in June that she had stage two breast cancer.
Updating her fans on Tuesday, Ali revealed that she had completed five months of chemotherapy, describing the process as “important.”
She was inundated with messages of support from fans, co-stars and famous friends, who said her kindness “helps her get through.”
Sharing a sweet video of herself and husband David O’Mahony, Ali said: “I have to ring (the little bell I stole from my son’s music box because they don’t do that here in Ireland) after five.” months of chemotherapy. In an update to her fans on Tuesday, Ali revealed that she had completed five months of chemotherapy and described the process as “important.”

Ali recently spoke about losing her hair in a candid interview.

The actress, who is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment, will undergo a mastectomy and radiotherapy and shared the emotional moment in which she shaved her hair.
Now, Ali has admitted she feared “losing her identity” along with her hair after shaving her head.
she said The sun is fabulous magazine: ‘At home I walk around with a bald head all the time. But I was afraid that going bald from chemotherapy would mean “turning” into a cancer patient, and that was all anyone would see.
“I thought it would be like losing my identity.”
But Ali revealed that the first time she took off the wig, it only felt like a big deal for “a split second.”
He added: “Then I felt good and then I just felt normal.” I’m hot and my bald head needs some air!’
