Holly Willoughby is said to be happier than ever on Dancing On Ice following the departure of her former co-host Phillip Schofield.

The presenter, 43, is said to be “joking and chatting more often” since Stephen Mulhern joined the show.

Holly presented her first series with Phillip in 2006, but quit ITV after admitting to having an affair with a younger This Morning colleague in May 2023.

Stephen took over as his permanent replacement after previously covering for Phillip in 2022 when he tested positive for Covid.

Speaking in an interview with The mirrorProfessional ice skater Andy Buchanan, who worked with Chelsee Healey during this series, has now given insight into how the dynamic of the show has changed.

He explained: ‘I feel like I’ve got to get to know Holly a lot more since she started. He (Stephen) just opened that door.’

Andy continued: ‘It’s very funny. He jokes, he chats with everyone and now I think she jokes more, she’s more open, she chats more with us. To be honest, it wasn’t like that before Stephen arrived.

“I have to say Stephen Mulhern was the greatest addition to the show.”

The new series of Dancing On Ice has only been in for two weeks, but viewers have already predicted a favorite to win the series.

Traitors star Mollie Pearce took to the floor for her debut performance on Sunday night and immediately impressed with six lifts.

Skating to Olivia Rodrigo’s hit Vampire, Mollie and her pro partner Colin Grafton earned a score of 29.5 points out of 40, putting them in second place overall and on top of the night.

It was also a skate that led many fans to predict that she could be crowned series champion, especially since the judges called her “something to watch.”

Posts on X included: ‘Definitely the best skate so far of all the couples this year. It was a brilliant performance by Mollie and Colin;’

‘I need Mollie Pearce to be the first woman to win #DancingOnIce in 12 years because that was EVERYTHING!!;

‘Mollie was really good! She is a great actress and very smooth on the ice. With a month less than everyone else, I’m very impressed. She and Colin also have great chemistry. I loved that; ‘Early prediction: Mollie for the win;’

‘@ColinGrafton and Mollie. OMG, wow!! What an amazing start to your Dancing On Ice journey!! Incredible routine and incredible choreography!! Huge well done.”

It came when Chelsee and Andy were the first couple to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice 2025.

Comedian Josh Jones came into Movie Night after placing in the bottom two alongside Chelsee, and in a big format change there was no skating for the first elimination.

Chelsee was at the bottom of the standings when she performed last weekend with 22 points.
