She recently recovered from a nasty stomach flu that left her missing from This Morning for three days.

And Holly Willoughby got into the festive spirit on Thursday when she went to London for lunch with Nicole Appleton, Shiarra Bell, Christine Lampard and Niki de Metz.

She told her Instagram followers: “What a beautiful afternoon… heart full of love and belly full of fondue.”

Holly looked effortlessly chic in a cozy turtleneck sweater as she shared a gorgeous selfie in a cozy igloo from their girls day out.

Christine looked similar in a stylish chunky white knit, while Nicole opted for a vibrant yellow, gray and black striped sweater.

And Holly revealed last week that it was her family’s new golden retriever puppy that helped her through her illness.

The TV star admitted that the household was “completely in love” with their furry friend.

She wrote on her Wylde Moon website, “Bailey came in and pressed a giant paw-shaped reset button for all of us…and of course we’re totally in love.”

Holly recalled her family’s journey to get the puppy: “My daughter has campaigned for us to get a dog since she could talk, and we’ve been waiting for the right time when a dog would fit into our family life.” .

‘Now, the time has come. This little ball of wonderful energy poured into our world and immediately made us wonder why on earth we waited so long.

“She’s been great getting us all out of the house, taking long walks and playing in the yard.

“During the lockdown, the kids were drawn to be on screens more than usual, but Bailey came in and pressed a giant paw-shaped reset button for all of us…and of course we are totally in love.

‘Last week I was struck down with a stomach flu and for 48 hours I was really not well. I couldn’t take the kids to school, I couldn’t go to work and I couldn’t walk the dog, but that didn’t stop Bailey from sitting lovingly at my feet all day.”

She continued, “I didn’t have the heart to tell her that the slight smell of dog food didn’t help my churning nausea, but I felt so much better having her there nonetheless.”
