Holly, who rose to fame as a Playboy model and dated Hugh Hefner from 2001 to 2008, published her book Down The Rabbit Hole in 2015.

Meanwhile, Crystal, who went from playmate to Hugh’s latest wife, published her memoir Only Say Good Things in January.

Both women starred in the reality show The Girls Next Door about life at the Playboy Mansion, where a feud between them simmered on screen.

Now, in a new episode of lady gang On the podcast, Holly’s claws came out again when she claimed that Crystal’s book had an identical “narrative voice” to hers.

“Anyone who read my book that came out eight years ago and then read your book, tell me the narrative voice doesn’t sound exactly the same,” he fumed.

Holly, who apparently worked with the same editorial team that published Crystal’s book, said the similarity “drives me crazy.”

She clarified that “when I say narrative voice, I don’t mean… of course, we’ll write about a lot of the same things.” As if we were dating the same person. We might even reach some of the same conclusions.

Holly then responded: “But when I was reading it and there were moments where I thought, ‘I feel like I’m reading my own book.’ “This is creepy.”

She said that Crystal ‘weaves fairy tale references in and out like I did, and uses a lot of the same, you know, psychological, you know, catchphrases and stuff like that.’

For comparison, Holly said she didn’t notice any similarities between her memoir and those written by Hugh’s other ex, Kendra Wilkinson.

“If you take my book and Kendra’s, they are two completely different people, even though we lived there at the same time,” Holly explained on the podcast. “They are two completely different voices, as it should be.”

Despite her objections to the prose style, Holly said she was “supportive” of Crystal “telling her story.” “I think we probably went through a lot of the same things in that relationship, and it’s been a huge relief for me to hear a lot of it.”

She felt her view of life at the Playboy Mansion was justified when she heard Crystal talk about having to “walk on eggshells” and feeling like “the rug was going to be pulled out from under her at any moment.”

Holly noted, however, that the supposed similarity in writing styles “bothers me,” especially since she felt “crucified” for being the “first” former resident of the Playboy Mansion to air the sordid details of life there.

He noted that when he published his own book, Hugh was alive and the Me Too movement had not yet taken the entertainment industry by storm.

Crystal’s book paints a grim picture of Hugh’s final years, during which she claimed the Playboy Mansion was in a state of disrepair, infested with black mold.

She accused Hugh of being a “controlling” husband who waited for her at home at 6pm every day and fostered a competitive dynamic between the bombshells in his orbit.

Her memoirs included anecdotes about how she procured women to have orgies with Hugh, as well as how she became his “caretaker” during his final decline.

According to Crystal’s telling, she was never genuinely “in love” with Hugh, who had a “cruel streak” and was addicted to painkillers and Viagra.

She also claimed that the ‘rivalry’ between her and Holly on The Girls Next Door was caused by bosses for the good of the show.

Crystal made a splash on her first episode of The Girls Next Door by defiantly declaring, “I’m not the new Holly.” She is my old self.
