Team Cherry has announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong has been delayed beyond the first half of 2023 and that more details will come closer to the game’s release date.
Team Cherry Head of Marketing and Publishing Matthew Griffin said in a tweet: “We planned to release in the first half of 2023, but development is still ongoing. We’re excited about where the game is coming from, and it’s getting really big, so we want to take the time.” To make the game as good as possible.
He continued, “Expect more details from us as we get closer to its release date.”

Hollow Knight: Silksong was first revealed in February 2019 and later confirmed to launch sometime in the first half of 2023. But that won’t seem to be the case anymore. The game was initially only announced for PC and Nintendo Switch, but has since included Xbox and PlayStation. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
