The ex-boyfriend of socialite Hollie Nasser, whose 2021 breakup became a cause celebre in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, has had a rough few months after getting involved in a sunset brawl at a posh Rose Bay bar.
James Hodgman began dating Ms Nasser following the demise of her short-lived relationship with investor Charlie Aitken, the ex-husband of her best friend Ellie Aitken, but they quietly split earlier this year.
With his last romance over, Mr Hodgman, a father of four, now appears to be on a career hiatus following an incident in February when he fought with two staff members in the Empire Lounge at the Sydney Seaplanes terminal..
Hodgman was arrested on February 17 and charged with assaulting bartender Bipin Bhattarai and the venue’s manager, Michael-Ross Mendoza Bray.
He is due to appear in court in December on the charges.

Built over the sparkling waters of Rose Bay, the Empire Lounge is home to Sydney Seaplanes, a well-known restaurant and watering hole in the eastern suburbs.
Hodgman had the world at his feet: a young family, a comfortable life on the east side of town, and a well-paying executive position at Citibank, home to big bonuses.
But when his personal life hit a snag and their relationship ended, Hodgman seems to have decided parted ways with the bank recently.
“I can confirm the resignation of James Hodgman,” a Citibank employee told Daily Mail Australia.
He marked his departure from the company with farewell drinks at Paddington’s Four in Hand hotel alongside his former colleagues.

“To my best friends at Citi 13 amazing years love every one of you amazing memories thank you,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
Unemployment doesn’t seem to bother Hodgman, with his Instagram profile showing him living the dream on Waikiki beach.
Mr. Hodgman’s relationship with the mother of two Nasser followed his split from ex-wife Nicole ‘Nikki’ Crebar, with whom he shares four children, some 18 months ago.
The couple were the talk of Sydney’s eastern suburbs in the mid-2000s thanks to their good looks and seemingly limitless career success..
Ms. Crebar previously worked for ACP, the publishing arm of Kerry Packer, and now runs The Event Group, a fashion and lifestyle production company.

Hodgman, who recently left his job at City Bank, appears to be living an idyllic lifestyle on the beach in Hawaii, according to his Instagram account.
