A California volunteer has revealed her “living nightmare” after she was kidnapped by a scammer posing as a donor for a Christmas toy drive.
Erin Quinn was lured to a house in Winchester with the premise of collecting the toys on December 18. KTLA information.
He said he received a text message from an anonymous number claiming to be from an elderly woman named Connie who wanted to donate gifts.
He arrived at the address and began walking toward the house before receiving another message indicating that someone would bring the toys to his car.
When she returned to her vehicle, Quinn was grabbed from behind by a woman who began pulling her hair and shooting her with a Taser.
The woman ordered Quinn to drive, but she ended up crashing her car after about 25 minutes due to the pain caused by the 30 electric shocks.
She eventually managed to escape her vehicle and the women began fighting on the side of the road, with Quinn even biting off part of her attacker’s finger.

Quinn said her attacker got into her car and began shooting her with a Taser, causing her to crash her car.
Quinn was left with burns on her scalp after she was Tasered about 30 times during the ordeal.
“I kicked him as hard as I could,” Quinn explained. “She tried to put her fingers in my mouth, perhaps in an attempt to pry my mouth open, and in a panic, I ripped part of her finger off in self-defense because I didn’t know what else to do.” do.’
In a surprising twist, Quinn said she suddenly recognized her attacker as a former housekeeper.
He claimed that the woman had disguised herself with a blonde wig. She fled the scene when a passerby ran to help.
“My brain was shaking so much and my body was shutting down and I thought I was going to die or pass out,” Quinn said.
The police have chosen to withhold the name of the suspect since she has not been formally charged. She currently remains a fugitive.
“I’m completely terrified,” Quinn said. “I don’t know why I would do this.”
Quinn was left with bruises on her extremities, Taser burns on her scalp, missing clumps of hair and broken fingernails.
“My whole world has been turned upside down,” he wrote in a GoFundMe set to cover the cost of your bills while you take time to recover.
The victim suffered bruising from the attack, which continued after he crashed his car.
She described how she was forced to bite off part of her attacker’s finger in a desperate attempt to escape.
Quinn believes the culprit is a former housekeeper who had plans to take her to Mexico for ransom.
Police are now investigating but said the suspect, who has not been formally charged, remains at large.
‘All I was trying to do was help with the Christmas toy drive and I thought I could stop by real quick to pick up these gifts before I start my work day.
“I was fully prepared (there were no gifts) and when I returned to my vehicle, I had no idea that someone was waiting for me, ready to attack.”
She believes her attacker, whom she has not spoken to for nine months, was hoping to take her across the border.
“I firmly believe their plan was to kidnap me and take me to Mexico for ransom or to sell me,” Quinn added.
She said she and her mother had previously supported the suspect by providing housing and money to her and her daughter.
Quinn also attacked other bystanders who saw what was happening but did not intervene.
“Several construction workers in the area witnessed what was happening, videotaped it and did nothing,” he said.
But he praised bystander William King as a “hero” for managing to push the attacker off of him.
