After another summer that linked him with moves to Tottenham and Chelsea, Wilfried Zaha opened his campaign with the goal of Crystal Palace fans dreaming of watching him play for many years to come.

"We had no interest in selling Wilfried Zaha," Palace boss Roy Hodgson said after his team's victory at Fulham. "We want it in the club every year we can have it."

"He's a south London player, Crystal Palace, and he knows we really appreciate what he can do for us.

"Many teams have a player like that, a player who is a talisman." Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho will have to ask the same question about their Kanes, De Bruynes and Hazards.
