Today host Hoda Kotb admitted to previously Googling potential suitors before going out with them and revealed what she believes are big “red flags” when going out to dinner with men.
The 59-year-old TV star, who split from fiancé Joel Schiffman in January 2022, recently confirmed she was dating again and was even going on a third date with the same mystery man in March, but has now shared one of her major detours.
During a chat with her Today co-host Jenna Bush Hager, Hoda shared her thoughts on Simone Biles’ recent appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast and reacted to comments the gymnast made about spying on her now-husband’s Instagram Jonathan Owens before. They got together.
‘I like how she did a quick deep dive too. She was like, “Like, let’s get into it,” because this is the thing about social media, you know everyone’s story. “You can’t escape your past and you can’t really fake it unless you do it on social media,” Hoda said.

The mother-of-two continued: ‘Because, as we say, you’re different every few years, you weren’t the same person.
